Hello, I completed this self paced ride on 7/25/23. I started from my house and rode to the starting point in Wayzata. My mileage on the route was 15 miles, an out and back from the Dakota Trail Head to the Minnetonka Drive in where I enjoyed a root beer and corn dog and a bottle of water, part of which I poured over my head to cool myself from the heat.
Thanks for posting this self-paced ride.
Alan

Beautiful ride and great weather.
Lovely day for a ride. We wanted to go a little beyond what we had done before. So we went 3 miles west of Mayer.

The "Trail Closure Soon" signs are still posted on the trail along the north shore of Lake Waconia - from Hwy 155 to N. Shore Rd. (There are piles of cut tree limbs along the trail that I assume the crews want to remove. Perhaps the recent wind and rain storms have delayed this project.)

Jeanne and I rode past Sovereign Winery near Lake Waconia and decided to return.
We rode the Dakota trail from Wayzata past the Sovereign Winery and back to Wayzata. A lovely day for a ride and the trail is kept up well.
Nice ride, saw New Germany for the first time.
On coming back, somewhere toward Wayzata a huge tree fell and was completely covering the bike path (a huge area & could not go around it). Luckily, a couple gentlemen were out there trying to tell me not to go thru it because there were live power lines underneath the tree! They told me to go back around and then haul my bike down some stairs so as to get back on the path, which I did.
When I got back to Wayzata I turned around and went back on path in order to get a few more miles in. I felt really good on the ride and felt I was cruising, which probably was because it was pretty much all flat trail.
I rode from Spring Park to Lester Prairie and back on the Dakota Rail Regional Trail on Sat, 7/9/22. A pleasant ride with light traffic.
I rode the Dakota Rail Regional Trail from Spring Park to Lester Prairie and back on 7/5/22. The ride started out sunny, humid, and with a slight breeze. By the end of the ride it was humid, overcast, and breezy.
Beautiful ride!!
Tour de Hoang and Joyce homes! I was surprised the gps app called out your homes! Route was a construction disaster, I needed my boots. But fun nonetheless. Thx.
On 6/24, I rode from Spring Park to a bit west of New Germany and back on the Dakota Rail Regional Trail. A pleasant ride with a bit of a cross-wind from the south.
On 6/17/22 I rode from Spring Park to New Germany & back for a round trip of 37 miles.
Also, I had trouble today accessing the HBC link to report my finish of this self-paced ride. A screen came up marked DANGEROUS with concerns about phishing with instructions to click on a link for Chrome protection.
Thanks

Surprise!. The swing bridge no longer swings! Fun ride.
Good surface, nice views of the river and close to home for those of us from Dakota county.
Thanks for posting! Had a beautiful day for ride. Rode from home for 16 Miles.
A beautiful day for my first ride of the season! (And flat was good for deconditioned legs)
always a great ride!
Gorgeous day for a ride! Saw lots of turtles, birds, a goose family, an eagle up in its nest. We started & ended over on the other side of the river (Old Cedar Bridge parking lot) instead of at the trail head address for this ride.
We biked 10 miles by parking in Cedar Bridge lot.
I was really hoping you'd post this ride! I was going to do it anyway but this was great motivation to do it NOW. I went with Nanette, Kent and Judy and we actually started at the Old Cedar Bridge Trailhead. Thanks! Lisa
Haggith and I met last night at the preserve. It was a Beautiful eveningand a Lovely ride. We added the trip across the old Cedar Avenue Bridge for a few extra miles. For a spring warm up this route was super.
Bruce, Thanks for posting! I did 32 Miles.
Thanks for posting!
I started this ride on Tues 11/9 at 1:45pm at the Dakota Rail Trailhead in Wayzata and rode to the St Boni City office and back. Unfortunately, due to my early afternoon start time and the clear sky, the sun was strobing me through the trees that line the trail when I was riding to St Boni. Otherwise, it was a nice crisp fall day for a ride.
Thanks for posting!
I started this ride in Wayzata and went to St. Boni. This ride and trail were BEAUTIFUL! I did it on Sunday, Sept 19 and although it was quite windy and 90 degrees out, I loved every
minute of it. The trail was great, it was all level with no hills (which was good because I'm riding with a strained, sore knee). I will definitely be doing that ride again, especially when I
need to ride alone. Thanks for the maps and everything provided for that ride!
Thanks Bruce
22 miles . Thanks
Enjoyed the ride and food at SeaSalt which made the ride a little longer,
Thanks for posting this one. It was just right for today. Jeanne and I chose to start at Dowling School so we could stop at Sea Salt on the way back. 22 miles
I biked to the route so added the miles-stopped for ice cream along the trail. Thanks for posting!
Nice leisure ride on Monday. Thanks for posting Haggith!
Left from Olin condo, w÷nt down MRT to Lilydale poo & yacht club to Harriet Island, to swing bridge and b!cj to Olin.
That accounted for the extra mileage
I found an ice cream place 3 miles from the swing bridge - I added the to and from to my ride.
Thanks for posting-its a nice ride!
I don’t know if we get credit for our full ride or not but we decided to start at Mendota, skipped the airport and accumulated 30 miles. Our fate is in your hands. LOL Please include Jeanne in whatever you decide. Thanks
We started in Mendota and returned there for lunch so added about 10 miles to the ride.
great morning for a ride-Bruce, thank so much for posting these!
We went out to Mayer and back to Wayzata. Jeanne Swintosky and I completed 44 miles. I also noticed we didn’t get credit again this year for a 30 mile ride to St Boni on March 13, 2021. Please correct that. Thanks, Rick
I rode to Lester Prairie this morning - great ride again!
Did the full distance
Went to Mayer
i did the full trail today
I love this ride. Spring Lake Park bike trail is one of the nicest in the Twin Cities.
I did the full ride to Lester Prairie and back
Greg thanks for a ride - it was a great early morning for a ride! A little variation on this one from last year? Seemed like a couple extra hills.
An easy ride covering a wide variety of neighborhoods in Eagan. We loved your front yard gardens, Haggith!
