This ride will start from the church parking lot next to Burnes Park in Hopkins. The ride will leave at 5:30 PM. I haven't decided on the route yet, but I'm sure it will include an ice cream stop.   : )

Welcome all HBC riders to our HBC Spring Kickoff ride and potluck. This 25 mile ride starts at Burnes park in Hopkins and loops its way through Minneapolis. Some highlights along the way: Theodore Wirth Park, Minneapolis riverfront, Martin Olav Sabo Bridge, Midtown Greenway to name a few. This will be a brisk ride and hoping the winds will die down a tad by then. The current weather forecast is for good conditions.

Join HBC for a Spring Kickoff event on Saturday, April 27, 9AM-2PM. (Start time can vary depending on what time the ride you register for leaves.)  We’ll meet at Burnes Park in Hopkins at the West Shelter. We'll start off with a social gathering, greeting old and new friends, and enjoying breakfast treats before joining one of several (soon to be) posted rides. If you plan on riding, be sure to register for one of the rides. After the rides (which end around noon) we'll gather again for a potluck lunch. Bring your favorite dish to pass!

Meet at the foot of “Eat Street” (Nicollet) above the Midtown Greenway Trail by the Pho Tau Bay (2837 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55408) Restaurant.  Park in the restaurant’s overflow parking lot east of their building.

We will ride approximately 12 mph and circle central Minneapolis riding the Midtown Greenway, North Cedar Lake Trail and the Dinkytown Greenway before returning back the restaurant.

At the conclusion of the ride will have lunch together at the Pho Tau Bay restaurant: an excellent Vietnamese restaurant.

Meet at the parking lot of the Douglas F Bryant Rec Area by the Chalet

Ride through the wilderness trails of the Elm Creek Reserve, visit the Coon Rapids Dam and return to Elm Creek on the Rush Creek Trail. 

After the ride we can enjoy a very good Thai lunch from the Reuan Thai Restaurant, 311B Central Ave, Osseo, MN 55369  We order take out and and eat together in the park across the street.  You can look at the menu at https://reuanthaimn.com and order on (763) 425-7882. Perhaps we will have an Ice Cream cone after.
