A popular location Wednesday's Hopkins Highball among others. We park toward the East end of the parking lot.
Do not try use to last year’s route because of the many construction sites and road surface conditions.
Do not be bothered be the "Road Closed" signs on Blake Rd. You will be turning off at Waterman before the actual blockage.
Start at the Hopkins Depot and ride a circular route through Hopkins & Edina using the Nine-Mile Creek trail for your return. Nine of the last 10 miles of the 20 Mile Ride will be on the Nine-Mile Creek trail.
Bruce, this is a nice ride. Thanks!
Great ride.
Bruce, Thanks for posting this ride. I liked the subtle route changes. Especially the end. A bit industrial, but kept us away from busier roads.
Thanks!!!
Great ride! Love that Depot is open for bathrooms and coffee!!!
We rode from Cedar Lake. Fun ride that included minor construction detours, nothing too serious.
We rode from Mark & Carmen's house to the start hence the extra miles. There were a couple of minor detours but overall a great ride that explored many areas of Hopkins/Edina we didn't now about.
Thank you Bruce!
Great ride, Bruce—thanks!
Thanks.
1:38. Went fairly well after the start. It took me a little time to get rolling. The 9 mile wooden trails a little hard on the wrists but they are finally getting broken in.
I found myself thinking about all the protests and sadness of the previous week while I was riding through these affluent white neighborhoods. Thinking about the disparity of the haves versus the have nots. Wondering how I would be perceived if I was a lone black man riding through their neighborhoods. And that got me thinking about how I / we can make a difference in our Twin Cities. All in all a good meditation for a Sunday morning bike ride.
