This is a loop ride starting at Dred Scott Field in Bloomington into Eden Prairie and back, with several lakes and parks along the way. About half the ride is on paved trails and half is on bike-friendly roads.  Note that several roads have adjacent bike paths, but all can be safely ridden on the road, except for Pioneer Trail Road where I recommend the bike path.  The route is fairly flat, with a few healthy hills.  Be prepared for the longest hill at mile 1!  There is a possible shortcut at mile 19.3 back to the starting point on Bloomington Ferry Road, making this a ~24 mile ride. 

Potential rest stop at Riley Lake in Eden Prairie, and coffee at Smith Coffee and Cafe on Eden Prairie Road.  Smith Coffee has lovely gardens is open every day from 8-3 pm, so get an early start!. In the summer try their pourover expresso over vanilla ice cream - it's to die for!
